CLASS OF 2020

DIRECTOR, DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, CONCEPT

Back in May 2020, my heart was breaking for high school students in particular. I was imagining the quiet mental health crisis they were experiencing at a pivotal time in their adult development. The world was bleak, and their disappointment and heartache was taking a backseat to the larger scale health crisis at hand. I decided I wanted to reach out to staff at my alma mater high school and profile several seniors. My goal was to help adults better understand what it felt like to be 18 and experiencing the pandemic and also serve as a comforting piece to high schoolers knowing they were not alone in their sadness.

To the right is a shortened edit that was my initial proof of concept. The finished piece is being submitted to film festivals.
